Rock out at Metalsome Live Band Karaoke
Welcome to Atlanta, where you too can live out your rock star fantasies at Metalsome live band karaoke.
Don’t worry though, this is not your parents’ karaoke.
Disclosure: This page contains affiliate links for various products below. You get the same low prices and we earn a small commission to help us buy more RV tailgating gadgets. Or game tickets if you go on a shopping spree.
In fact, it is likely you won’t see your parents up there unless they had a recording contract at one time. The ladies and gents that have the balls to get up there on stage are typically pretty good. They know the songs and can belt them out with the best of them.
Metalsome lives in 10 High, a basement club below Darkhorse Tavern. It’s a small venue so on Fridays and Saturdays, it fills up fast. It’s also loud so don’t show up with a headache. You are here to rock, and you can only escape the noise and people by leaving. But you won’t want to!
English Nick, a DJ for local station 96Rock, keeps things moving and will sing a few songs out if no one is stepping up. Metalsome is a great place to go if you want to go out after tailgating (or if weather is uncooperative).
Really, nothing we could say will do the place justice. Instead, let’s see it in action.
Our friend Glen Hayman recently took the stage at Metalsome. He’s been known to let loose a little Guns N Roses. How do you think he did?
NO COVER! There is a charge if you want to get up on stage to see if you could have been a rock star.

Virginia-Highlands is an area known for its restaurants and nightlife, many within walking distance of 10 High.
Close to 10 High is Blind Willies, which typically has live music acts. You can easily make a night of dinner and bar-hopping through the area.
You won’t be disappointed if you visit on a Friday night before a game or Saturday night after the game.
Parking can be tough. Watch out for the PARK Atlanta guys; they are notoriously tough on street parkers. There are several pay lots in the area that you can take advantage of and avoid the parallel parking. Better yet, take a taxi or Lyft (use code RVTAILGATE for a $5 credit on your first ride) so you don’t have to worry about drinking and driving.
