Avalanche Cookies: Another No Bake Cookie Recipe for Your Tailgate!
We really like avalanche bars. But man, there is a lot of patience required, waiting for the chocolate to cool to make those bars of yummy goodness.
Who has time when there is tailgating fun to be had? So let’s adapt and make Avalanche Cookies!
No Bake Cookies Are Great in the RV
We really like no bake cookie recipes for tailgating! Remember those peanut butter brownie balls?
Anyways, no need to fire up the oven. This keeps the RV (or your home kitchen) a lot cooler!
Easy to fix in the RV if you don’t have time at home. And the recipes are typically pretty easy.
And this one will be a big hit for you.
After all, who doesn’t like a Rice Krispy treat?
With marshmallows.
And chocolate.
So, fire up your double boiler. Or if you are me, just find that awesome microwave safe bowl for melting chocolate and press start.
You’ll have yummy cookies in just a little while without making your RV a sweaty mess.
Another no-bake option are these Butterscotch Squares. Gotta love these no-bake cookie options for tailgate desserts from the RV kitchen!
Don’t Hesitate on the Avalanche Cookies
Most of our tailgates are potluck style.
With a little coordination, we ease the cooking load among the regulars.
Everyone participates and contributes which make it a lot of fun for everyone. You get to try a lot of new foods this way.
When I put these no bake Avalanche Cookies on the table, there were a few side eyes – they don’t look like your normal cookie.
In fact, they look a little plain.
But heaven help the person that gets between a tailgater and these cookies once they figure it out!
These went quick in Jacksonville. Like minutes. Definitely going to add these to the regular rotation!

These cookies will store for a few days in an airtight container. It was hard work keeping these from disappearing on the drive to Jacksonville.
But fortunately, I was able to control myself so that others could enjoy all the yumminess.
